Facilitation of an “Envision Your  Future Budget” workshop with the City Council. The Next Generation Budget was unveiled for FY 2016-17 and was awarded the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.

Grand River Dam Authority, Oklahoma 

Facilitation of a one-day workshop, in August 2018, on electric cost of service and rate design for the wholesale Municipal Customers of the Grand River Dam Authority. Participants were informed about the top trends facing public power over the next five years, how historic utility practices can potentially threaten long term solvency going forward, how a utility’s operating expenses and capital needs effects its bottom line, how utility costs translate into rates, and were engaged to share their utility’s experiences with peers. An inclusive, interactive discussion of the challenges and opportunities of various retail rate designs occurred between over 90 utility professionals from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas.

Presented two one-day training workshops on Electric Cost of Service and Retail Rate Design to MEAG Executive Team and Staff.
